Gemini Personnel Limited (GPL) strives to provide excellence in professional service to both clients and candidates.
GPL observes a strict code of ethics and maintains secure computer systems and internet servers according to best current information technology practice.
GPL maintains a policy of strict confidentiality of all personal data submitted by candidates whether by mail, email, fax or through registering at GPL's office. Candidate information is held on GPL's secure databases and files and is accessible to Gemini consultants. It is GPL's practice to reveal applicants personal details to clients only just prior to interview stage and after receiving approval from individuals.
GPL is a member of National Personnel Associates (NPA) an international network of recruitment specialists. Data from GPL on candidates and clients may be made available by GPL for specific assignments within NPA's secure internet system.
GPL is a member of the Asian Human Resources Group and personal data may be shared between Group companies, for recruitment purposes.
GPL is licensed as an employment agency by the Labour Department of the Hong Kong Government (licence no 10126). GPL must meet the Labour Department's standards for data management by personnel agencies and officers of the Labour Department have the right of access to Gemini's data at any time.
Candidates registering with GPL have the right of access to personal data in order to correct, update or remove it from GPL database. Candidate data is retained for a number of years in order to assist Candidates with long-term career development.
Candidates can contact datamanager@gemini.com.hk for data change requests or to have their records removed from GPL databases. GPL may ask candidates to verify their identity and for more information about the request. Where legally permitted , GPL may refuse the request and give reasons for doing so. Where the candidate requests that personal data be updated and there is a dispute about the facts, GPL will make a note on the personal data of such dispute. Candidates may also request that GPL stops using their information and we will comply with this request. However, if this involves a request for deletion of a file, please be aware that GPL may not be required or able to do so, particularly where the file also holds information about GPL’s clients. We may charge an administrative fee for access and updating requests.
Gemini consultants may contact candidates who have registered with GPL some time previously in order to ascertain their current employment status.
GPL may collect personal data from candidates including (without limitation) your name, contact details, qualifications, work history, your right to work in a particular country, languages spoken, professional memberships and accreditations, your work objectives and other information from your CV. If you are to be considered for a particular position, we may also collect references from your nominated referees.
GPL reserves the right to verify information supplied voluntarily by candidates. Such verification may include, but is not limited to, the checking of academic qualifications with issuing authorities, the confirmation of previous employment records including salary details and the contacting of designated referees.
GPL may also search social networking sites and use search engines to validate background information on candidates. In addition GPL may conduct searches of internet sites, social networks as part of reference checking procedures.
As part of GPL's ongoing business activities information is collected on clients and potential clients and used for the purposes of matching candidates to job orders, business solicitation and the sending of information and newsletters. Companies who wish to be removed from Gemini's databases should email datamanager@gemini.com.hk
It is not GPL's policy to share data on candidates or clients with any third party organization other than detailed above.
The purpose of collecting data from clients and candidates is in order to provide recruitment services. The information is in the public domain or is provided voluntarily to GPL by candidates seeking employment opportunities and by clients for assisting them with their staffing needs
